The Process of Dry Cleaning Handmade Carpets

• Dust removal by beating or manually. We clean the carpet from dust, sand, and small debris using a powerful vacuum cleaner or drum.
• Local stain removal. Tough stains are manually treated with gentle, biodegradable products for wool carpets.
• Based on the carpet's composition and quality, the technologist determines the cleaning method: washing with full immersion in a pool or semi-dry cleaning with minimal moisture.
• Drying the carpet in a natural environment. The carpet is always kept in a horizontal position without using hangers. Low temperatures are applied, and great attention is paid to the carpet's position: this helps avoid deformations and creases.
• Quality control. The final processing stage is a final vacuum cleaning to remove cleaning product residues. Then the carpet is manually brushed and the pile (and fringe, if any) is laid. If necessary, agents are applied to the carpet to prevent the pile from matting.
